Child Dies after Israeli Strike in Gaza As Occupation Forces Expand Control

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli attacks killed a Palestinian child in Gaza City and a man in Khan Younis, while the occupation forces pushed the so-called Yellow Line deeper into central Gaza, adding to the mounting civilian toll of the war on the besieged enclave.

The child died from injuries sustained in an Israeli air strike on the al-Jalaa area of Gaza City, sources at al-Shifa Medical Hospital told Al Jazeera.

Separately, a Palestinian man was killed in an Israeli drone strike in Khan Younis, according to sources at Nasser Medical Complex.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces moved the so-called Yellow Line further into al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, under heavy gunfire and intense artillery shelling, according to sources on the ground.

The expansion further restricts the space available to Palestinians, forcing civilians into increasingly crowded areas as Israeli forces extend their control over more territory.

Even areas considered relatively safe remain vulnerable to repeated violations, including drone attacks, according to reports from the ground.

The continued attacks and territorial expansion have added to the devastation caused by Israel’s military campaign, intensifying the hardships facing Palestinians across the enclave.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 74,494 Palestinians have been killed and 175,604 wounded since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023.

Since the so-called ceasefire in October 2024, Israeli attacks have killed 1,534 Palestinians and wounded 5,486 others, while 846 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble, the ministry said.

In the latest 24-hour reporting period, seven Palestinians were killed and 24 wounded, it added.
